Sonic found him and he released Silver Sonic on him, but Sonic would defeat him and ultimately destroy the ship. Sonic would search through it and find Robotnik. Later, Sonic would manage to board Wing Fortress with the help of Tails flying him up in the Tornado. the Freedom Fighters would attempt to destroy it many times, but where never able to truly destroy it. it's command ship would be Wing Fortress and during the Empires reign to would do it's job well. It was a series of air ships that would work under the Eggman Empire to keep the peace, transport people and items, and fend off any unwanted visitors to the planet. so he would create an Air Fleet called the 'Egg Fleet'. During Robotnik's first take over of the the world he realized that he needed to cover more ground and keep areas in line.
