All 151 available Pokémon's sprites (sans mini-sprites on the Pokémon menu and the overworld sprites) have been changed replaced with Sonic characters.Some are fan creations, others fan favourites. There are 161 Sonicmons that have been discovered.
What's Different From Pokémon FireRed Gameplay Once the player obtains their first Sonicmon, they may set out on an adventure to defeat each gym leader, capture as many unique Sonicmons as they can and try their best to defeat Team Eggman and Doctor Eggman himself and complete the Sonicmon League. The player has an option to choose between: Sonic, a Fighting-type Sonicmon, Silver, a Psychic-type Sonicmon, or Shadow, a Fighting/Dark-type Sonicmon.
Player starts out in Pallet Town and then receives his very own Sonicmon from Professor Oak.
